Given that people who were dead in their own worlds seem to arrive here with some frequency, I'm not sure if that's the case.

Granted, the fact that this place seems to have some sort of means of resurrecting us could be an answer as to why we don't die permanently, but why not just send us back to our own worlds when we die here instead of preventing it altogether?
