"...well, I suppose it's about time I make one of these things...
Hello, you have reached the voicemail of Lord Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi. I am unable to answer at this time due to some other business I have to attend to, but state your purpose and I'll get back to you whenever I find the time."
[I'm cool with any sort of one-on-one stuff going on here so long as it starts with a voicemail! Obviously we'll need to plan if our characters are in the same area or not if we want to switch to action, but you know!]

... Dude, that's one hell of a fucked-up name. What don'tcha shorten it or something?
[YEAH, ABOUT THAT...]
Anyway, I've got a question for ya. Call me back when you've got time, 'kay?
[voice]
For the record, El-Melloi is an esteemed title, and I would rather prefer it was used. I'll spare you the history behind it, but I really don't care if you use it or my last name.
What was it that you wanted?
[voice]
[The matter of his overly complicated last name is CLEARLY NOT IMPORTANT compared to what he's calling for, so let him put that aside and get to the point.]
Anyway! I think you've once mentioned something 'bout different versions of the same world, right...? Figured you might, uh, tell me more 'bout that stuff...
[voice]
like come on dude
uggggh oh well he never misses an opportunity to nerd out so]
Ah, yes, the theory of infinite parallel worlds? I honestly can't speak from experience given that there's only one person who has the ability to travel between them, but... basically, the gist of it is that there are infinite alternate iterations of my own universe, which I assume holds true for most other universes. As the possibilities are infinite, the differences between my world and another world could be as large as... well, if my world were some bizarre fusion with this one, and they could be as small as if I decided to have coffee instead of tea one morning. Of course, those small differences can actually have rather significant effects in the long run, but it's really quite difficult to tell which ones will.
[voice]
But yes, anyway. Crow listens carefully to what Kayneth has to say on the subject, and while he can't claim he understands it completely, he's pretty sure he gets the gist of how things are supposed to work.]
'Kay, so what you're saying is... that somewhere out there, there might even be a world that's a mix of mine and, say, yours?
[Since that's more or less the question he came here for.]
[voice]
[voice]
[Even if what he's basically telling him is that he can't say anything for certain.]
... Although... if there are so many different worlds, then why is it that people always come here from one specific version? As far as I know, anyway. Sure, there are different times, but... generally speaking.
[voice]
[voice]
[That's a first.]
Never heard of that happening... [Looks like even after three years, Johto still has its ways of surprising him.] It just always seems like we're from one world, period, y'know?
[voice]
[voice]
I mean, unless you go and ask somebody from your world, "Hey, what did you have for lunch on the day of our first meeting, salad or ramen?"
[voice]
Of course, if there is some sort of intelligent force behind this place, it may just prefer one version of a world above all others and draw people into this world based on that.
