[There's something a bit strange happening on the network today. It's possibly a video feed, but it keeps turning on and off and it's impossible to tell what's going on for the most part... and there's an odd, loud chewing sound.

...well, given Pokemon, it isn't too hard to figure out what's likely going on there, but eventually it seems as though the Gear is turned around enough in the unwitting cameramon's mouth that the surroundings can be made out, albeit with liberal application of shakycam.

It appears to be a bathhouse --- specifically the indoor section of the hot springs in Blackthorn, to anyone who's familiar --- and it's currently filled with what appear to be baby Tyrannosaurs, which would be super cute if it didn't appear that they were getting into the lockers and chewing on some poor sap's coat and various belongings and generally causing massive property damage.

...a fair number of them seem to be heading into the actual bath portion, too, and after several have wandered in, Kayneth storms out, clad in a towel and swim trunks, and freezes.

For he is the poor sap whose coat one of the Tyrunt is currently chewing on.

It's him.]

This... what is this!?

[...the gear drops and is now facing the ceiling, but audio can still be heard, along with the sound of someone heading over... towards the lockers.]

Don't think you're getting away with this, you little pests! By the time I'm done with you, you're going to wish ---!

[...and then the feed cuts off, as a tiny dinosaur has walked on the Gear.]

[Some time after that, Kayneth is sitting on a bench by the door, looking a bit forlornly outside. He is still wearing swim trunks and not about to brave a thunderstorm with hail in this sort of getup, so he just... waits for the storm to let up.

At least his Serperior's present, giving the other Tyrunt in the building nasty looks... and at least, quite surprisingly, his Gear still works. So... to pass the time...]

I do apologize for the scene earlier --- that was a bit of an embarrassment, really. Someone saw the dinosaurs out in the rain and decided that, yes, they absolutely needed to weather the storm in the hot springs.

And of course, all the employees are fine with it, because people in this world are just too kindhearted for their own good. What utter nonsense will tomorrow bring, I wonder...

Perhaps there was something that attracted them to your belongings in particular...? That would certainly explain why no one else seems to be bothered.

[Speaking of being an embarrassment, guess who's Utterly Fucking Delighted™ about all these dinosaurs up in the hot springs. When she spots Kayneth sitting near the door looking moody, she wastes no time in walking right over and inviting herself to sit down on the bench near him, offering a smile to his Serperior as she goes.

(She is not, regrettably, in swimwear of her own, but with the weather in the mid-sixties and the warmth of the hot springs indoors, it's a sandals-and-a-skirt kind of day.)

...Did she mention she's Utterly Fucking Delighted™ about the dinosaurs.]

I can't believe a dinosaur is the closest thing to a new dragon we've seen. We're in Blackthorn!

[His bitty Noibat sinks her teeth into his hand because PAY ATTENTION TO ME I'M A DRAGON but since she's been clawing him up for over a week now, he doesn't even bother to look.]

Well, a lot of the newer, unusual Pokemon I've been training seem to respond best to treats, so I've been carrying them around a lot... but I suspect they wouldn't be bothered regardless.

[Kayneth does crack a bit of a smile when he sees Carmen, because she is always quite a sight for sore eyes... but...

...pardon me for not sharing your enthusiasm about Blackthorn's current guests, but I had a bit of an incident with them in the hot springs...

Hah, well, clearly you haven't become accustomed to this place's sense of humor quite yet.

Just watch as we find out that the keychain evolves into a key-hoarding dragon or something along those lines.

Maybe it's because the hot springs are closer? And definitely warmer than being out in the rain!

Ah, yes. I really should have consulted my exceptionally vague Xatu this morning so that, after trying to puzzling through whatever cryptic forecast he gave me, I'd potentially be made well aware of the fact that there were going to be Tyrannosaurs rampaging in the bathhouse because someone let them in out of the rain and would plan accordingly.

That, or they somehow instinctively knew they could take advantage of you, perhaps.

That's not the only thing they've gotten to, but it's the definitely the least fortunate.

I don't know if you travel often to Celadon City, but it's the fashion capital of both regions. That might be the place to go, either to see if it's salvageable or to replace it outright.

Well, I do imagine they have a good sense of smell, but at least one of them was reasonably polite about everything.
