[Well, it's a Very Important Day, or at least it would be if Sola were still here. Since Kayneth's still all hung up on a girl, he'll need something to distract him...! AND REALLY, WHAT BETTER DISTRACTION THAN SOMETHING HE'S BEEN THINKING ABOUT FOR A WHILE.]

Something has caught my attention lately-or, rather, the absence of something has. With how utterly baffling the world we've found ourselves in tends to be, I would have expected some sort of formal research team to have been set up. I have met other individuals interested in picking apart the mysteries of this world, of course-but that's far different than an organized effort.

Which, of course, is what I'm proposing here. I understand the desire to work alone-believe me, I generally prefer that. However, I'm sure an organized effort will cover much more ground.

So, who all is interested? I'm certain we can discuss further details once I have a good idea of that.

[of course, he'll be in charge.]

And having workers can be worth it, if they're competent. Most of the people in this lab have no idea that a test tube is held with the opening pointing up.

[ dumbass rocketfuckers. ]

It's obligatory. I often give them small tasks to keep them busy, like going into the market or obtaining an item in the other region, so it's not completely abysmal. They've come to expect that lab work means you're never in the lab. [ mwahahaha! ]

The first is for funding. The more employees you have, the less you have to pay for maintenance because the Region supplies you with more funds to do more research with. That, and, it's obligatory. The person [ team rocket. ] that helped me get started and sorted through everything in the beginning requested that I hire some specific people. Lacking the foresight, I agreed. [ oops. ]

Well, it's the real world. There's always a negative thing if you want to get anywhere, most of the times. [ this is actually a reference to all of the people she "helped" and then killed but why not she'll use this line for herself. ]

Correct. In theory, I should only have to deal with them long enough until I gain control of the laboratory and it's full placed in my name, which might be as short as a couple weeks from now. [ Or as long as... Poketernity. ]

What can I say? I am a woman of patience. Sometimes it may take a little longer than I expected but the end result is always worth it. I'll be able to conduct separate research without them, for your sake. [ Because, as much as she'd appreciate her employees being killed, they seem sort of immortal!! ]

Isabella. And yours would be? [ She better write the name down so he can access her laboratory files and the like. ]

Ah. It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance. Do you have any nicknames people call you by? I'm sure I'll be able to remember Kanyeth but some of these words [ I'll never give a damn to remember ] seem like something I'll never be able to master pronouncing.

My native tongue still feels rather unnatural pronouncing this. Just what ethnicity is it? [ She's managed to figure out some general parallels by talking to some people. ]

Ah, I see. We don't have a Hebrew variant where I'm from, and, where I'm from, the most commonly used language is akin to German. English is a second language but it's not very common. Either way, I suppose I'll try my best Mr. El-Melloi. [ The pronunciation is ever so slightly off. There's no way in hell she's calling you lord, sorry bro. ]

Ah, all right. Mr. Archibald. I appreciate the exception. Once I manage to pronounce your more common name, I will switch over to that. [ She pronounces his name flawlessly. ]

I learn very quickly. I wouldn't have my laboratory still standing if I was slow.
