Hello, you have reached the voicemail of Lord Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi. I am unable to answer at this time due to some other business I have to attend to, but state your purpose and I'll get back to you whenever I find the time."

[I'm cool with any sort of one-on-one stuff going on here so long as it starts with a voicemail! Obviously we'll need to plan if our characters are in the same area or not if we want to switch to action, but you know!]

I suppose it's entirely within the realm of possibility, yes. It's hard to rule anything out when the entire theory revolves around there being an infinite number of worlds.

... Although... if there are so many different worlds, then why is it that people always come here from one specific version? As far as I know, anyway. Sure, there are different times, but... generally speaking.

People don't always come from one specific version, though it seems oddly common that one version of a world seems to be chosen above others. There was someone here from an alternate version of my world some time ago, actually-one that had taken a very different turn from my own.

No, I agree with you. I don't think I've seen any similar cases, and the differences between my world and theirs was fairly significant. You would think there would be at least some people from worlds that are only very slightly different, but that doesn't seem to be the case...

... Well, if they're just slightly different, then I guess there's no way of making sure, no?

I mean, unless you go and ask somebody from your world, "Hey, what did you have for lunch on the day of our first meeting, salad or ramen?"

Exactly. Thinking about it, that might be why there aren't that many significant variations-while there are infinite worlds, a great deal of the variations are so minor that they're practically indistinguishable.

Of course, if there is some sort of intelligent force behind this place, it may just prefer one version of a world above all others and draw people into this world based on that.
