It's true, but it's such a bizarre intersection of familiar and strange that I'm having more trouble processing it than the usual absurdities.
I'm not sure if it's even limited to just equivalents of countries. Isn't Kanto the name of an actual region of Japan itself? Does that mean that there's an equivalent to regions of every country, as well?
I suppose it's outright idiotic to assume that this world is smaller than ours just because we can only access a small portion of it, but if it's all like this then it's just getting stranger by the minute.
