[It's not as though Kayneth is unfamiliar with what happens when someone disappears. Tokiomi's disappearance was... regrettable, but it wasn't anything like what was going on now. He couldn't count the amount of times he'd entered Sola's number into his PokeGear in the hopes that there had been some mistake, only to receive the same message over and over.
"Number not found." The very words were starting to get to him by this point
Perhaps if he hadn't slipped back into deliriousness he would have given up more quickly-or if he'd gotten an explanation beforehand, or if the situation were in any way different from how it was now.
Why was this happening? He couldn't simply chalk the whole situation up to being some sort of magic-induced hallucination anymore, as much as he wanted to. The week or so of clarity had broken him out of that mindset, so really, there was one conclusion to be drawn here.
He'd essentially been dumped out of a world that had only wanted him to succeed and into one that wanted nothing more than to see him suffer.
And really, there was nothing he could do about it except wait.
...though, really, getting a good read on exactly how grim his prospects were was probably a good idea.]
If someone disappears from this world, how likely is it that they will return? I've been informed that it's entirely possible that they will either remember their time here or they will have no recollection of it, as well. How many cases are there of the former versus the latter?

[MAYBE SCIENCE WILL MAKE HIM FEEL BETTER
...MAYBE...]
[text]
I know at least 5 or 6 people who came back and remembered
wouldn't know how many didn't since I might've not met them last time they were here
hell one of my friends came and went three times and didn't remember each time
[There's a pause before he sends the next text, as he takes his time considering the issue. Odds? Can one even talk about those in this case?]
... honestly it feels kinda random

[WHY IS THIS PLACE SO FRUSTRATING]
[text]
that doesn't mean you should lose hope!
[Because THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE.]
[text]
[WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP GOING ON ABOUT IT]
[text]
[Because HOPE, FRIENDSHIP and BONDS are superior to pain and despair felt when someone disappears! Or at least that's what Crow likes to believe.]
... mind telling me who's gone?
[He assumes the question didn't come out of the blue.]
[text]
[He doesn't feel the need to add any more than that. Goddamn he's been so transparent...!]
[text]
gotcha. sorry for your loss.
but at least they're back home now?
[ALWAYS OPTIMISM.]
[text]
[text]
REALLY good thing
[He wouldn't have anywhere to go back to by now if that wasn't the case.]

[text]
I think it gives us much more

[Yes, he's one of Those People.]
[text]
How very insightful.
[text]
nah, just experience speaking!
