005 [TEXT]

[It's not as though Kayneth is unfamiliar with what happens when someone disappears. Tokiomi's disappearance was... regrettable, but it wasn't anything like what was going on now. He couldn't count the amount of times he'd entered Sola's number into his PokeGear in the hopes that there had been some mistake, only to receive the same message over and over.

"Number not found." The very words were starting to get to him by this point

Perhaps if he hadn't slipped back into deliriousness he would have given up more quickly-or if he'd gotten an explanation beforehand, or if the situation were in any way different from how it was now.

Why was this happening? He couldn't simply chalk the whole situation up to being some sort of magic-induced hallucination anymore, as much as he wanted to. The week or so of clarity had broken him out of that mindset, so really, there was one conclusion to be drawn here.

He'd essentially been dumped out of a world that had only wanted him to succeed and into one that wanted nothing more than to see him suffer.

And really, there was nothing he could do about it except wait.

...though, really, getting a good read on exactly how grim his prospects were was probably a good idea.]

If someone disappears from this world, how likely is it that they will return? I've been informed that it's entirely possible that they will either remember their time here or they will have no recollection of it, as well. How many cases are there of the former versus the latter?

Meeting a deceased relative would be one of them.

[Not going to discuss much about this one, but he knows how painful it is to be unable to say goodbye to your loved ones.]

[Would being desperate enough to summon himself as a Berserker just to be killed by her counts as a good relationship.]

And perhaps mending broken bonds would count under one as well.

...Nevertheless, I find that patience sometimes pays off.

[Well this is ironic, coming from him.]
