[VOICE]
[It seems as though someone's Pokegear is malfunctioning! Well it's not like that never happens, right? The audio feed seems to be cutting in and out. The first time it cuts in, it's possible to hear the sound of crumbling rock and the sound of someone who may or may not have just sprained his ankle. Also a... Wooper...
...the second time it cuts in, though, a highly annoyed (and somewhat pained) voice can be heard.]
-even believe this. This place is such a-
[And, possibly as a convenient censor, the feed cuts off again, though it resumes fairly quickly.]
-had such bad luck. This never would have happened-
[aaaand it cuts out again. Of course, a moment or so after that point, it switches to text.]
[TEXT]
I would presume that at least someone here has experience with the Ruins of Alph, so I want to know any important details. Has the location been mapped out to any degree? I have already come to the conclusion that the puzzles are to be approached with caution, but if they have any other properties, I'd certainly like to hear about them.

Unfortunately I don't have any information to offer in regards to the Ruins. Have you been exploring them for very long? What happened?
[Deets, Kayneth! No he doesn't care that he barely knows you! This sounds fascinating!]
[TEXT]
...I'm simply going to say that I was right to be suspicious.
[TEXT]
[Were those things booby-trapped?? Holy shit this sounds awesome. Hey Kimblee, guess what we're doing after we get the badges~!]
[TEXT]
TEEEECH]
It's nothing serious. If you attempt to explore yourself, I would suggest preparing for a fall.

I'm perfectly fine. It's absolutely nothing to be concerned about.

[text forever BUT... HI... ARMSTRONG...]
[audio forever then, hi kayneth ;w;]
no subject
reaction;
[Voice]
...it sounds as though this area is more difficult to navigate than you assumed.
[His tone is admittedly somewhere between facepalming and "Oh god, I told you so," but we're not getting into that right now.]
[Voice]
[LOOK OKAY THE BOOBY TRAPS SHOULD HAVE BEEN BEFORE THE PUZZLES
THAT'S JUST HOW THESE THINGS GO!!
WHO DESIGNED THESE RUINS]
...Nevertheless, it's progress. There appears to be a tunnel underneath the main room, though for obvious reasons I don't feel particularly inclined to go through it.
[Voice]
HE JUST KNOWS ENOUGH TO ASSUME THAT EVERYTHING HERE IS GOING TO BE RIDICULOUSLY BACKWARDS BECAUSE NOTHING IN THIS WORLD SO FAR HASN'T BEEN RIDICULOUSLY BACKWARDS
MAYBE YOU'RE GETTING CLOSER TO THE...WHATEVER IT IS WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE FINDING, HENCE THE BOOBYTRAPS
HE JUST DOESN'T KNOW, MAN]
Are you at least in one piece still? There were some...ah, unfortunate sounds over the system earlier.
[Voice]
GODDAMNIT]
...these things...!
-well, it's nothing serious, but I believe I may have sprained my ankle.
[Voice]
...shall I try to find you, then? What sequence did you follow?
[Make him do this blind and so help him, Kayneth]
[Voice--->Video]
I completed the first puzzle. When you finish it, it should resemble... oh, give me a minute-
[...no, he has no fucking idea what that thing resembled, so he pauses to take out a notepad and sketch out something that, if he were more up on his Pokemon, he would have recognized as the underside of a Kabuto and then flip on the video feed]
Something like this.

Oh, and also -- the ground kind of drops out from beneath you when you complete one of the puzzles, so you should be careful. It isn't a really long fall, but it's still bruising.
[text]
[sulk sulk sulk]
There aren't any traps of that nature in the chambers beneath the puzzles, are there? If these Pokemon are on the level of the Pokemon that are above ground, I won't have any trouble with them, so that's not much of a concern.
[text]
[Of course, uh. Anything's easier to navigate than the tombs in Ashihara.]
I spent a month investigating it and working out the puzzles and phrases, so if you have any more questions about it, I can help. I hope.
[text]
[are you one of those adventurer archaeologists or something]
I would prefer to figure things out for myself, although I'd be happy to compare notes once I've finished researching the ruins.
[text]
[no but he likes reading about those are you a fan of them too can we be friends]
All right. I won't spoil anything for you, then.
[text]
[...if they're getting him rad magical artifacts sure]
That would be appreciated.
