I must say, that was far less difficult than I expected it to be. Are all of the Gym Leaders so easily defeated? I will be sorely disappointed if I'm not forced to actually employ strategic thinking at least once.

Of course, I wouldn't bother posting to the network just to discuss my victory. [yes you would.] I would rather discuss the badges themselves-has anyone analyzed them to any extent? I've heard that they have several odd properties, which lead me to wonder if there was anything about their design that would warrant that.

I've been here since March thirtieth of last year~! So, I've been here for awhile to know how Johto works and everything~! Or, at least, I can tell about the usual Johto patterns.

I suppose that would be the case, particularly given that most people wouldn't be paying enough attention to notice such a thing.

That sort of uncouth approach to things being incredibly common really doesn't surprise me at all.

I know. The worst part is, there seems to be no real soul or zest for the pokemon they're raising and training. It's just winning, winning, winning.

I didn't mean it like that. I meant it like, if you don't know the pokemon's personality, you can't make a plan that best suits it.

...Wouldn't that qualify for what we've been talking about? I've noticed that Pokemon with different personalities seem to have different strengths and weaknesses.

I was referring to bonding and growing through that so you can continue to get stronger as you fight, not clinically assessing their personality for the sole purpose of winning. But, at least it's better than what the others are doing.

Well, they're living beings. They don't deserve to be mindlessly paraded around as some sort of koing tool. Raising them with love and care improves battle performance and it makes victory something you really strive for, rather than just an order.

You're one of those type of people that actually do nothing but look at the surface on how to achieve victory. These things devote every moment of their life to you! The least you can do is try to connect with them!

Of course they wouldn't, but shouldn't you reciprocate something similar since they're devoting their life to you? If you leave, I think they'll understand. You can't really control what goes on in Johto!

This is a beneficial relationship, though, isn't it? These creatures seem to enjoy battling, and I've noticed that they're stronger if they're trained by humans.

Yes, but they also seem to enjoy getting to know their trainer and working together as a team with an actual bond in place. [ and Rangiku could have sworn that she was the one that mentioned that they're stronger with people, but, she'll refrain from pointing this out, she's not going to be derailed!! ]
