I must say, that was far less difficult than I expected it to be. Are all of the Gym Leaders so easily defeated? I will be sorely disappointed if I'm not forced to actually employ strategic thinking at least once.

Of course, I wouldn't bother posting to the network just to discuss my victory. [yes you would.] I would rather discuss the badges themselves-has anyone analyzed them to any extent? I've heard that they have several odd properties, which lead me to wonder if there was anything about their design that would warrant that.

Well, one thing I've noticed is that they're incredibly shiny, so that must mean that there's something magical that goes on with them! Something beyond the realms of human limits! [ ........Rangiku's curious face turns into a beaming smile at his accomplishment though. ]

...Plenty of non-magical things are incredibly shiny. I fail to see what that has to do with anything. There's plenty about them that points to them having some sort of unusual characteristics.

But shiny things here are super special! The shinier it is, the better it is! I mean, look at those shiny colored pokemon! They sparkle, they're incredibly rare, and they're valued by everyone! [ That....doesn't connect with anything magical. ]

My highest-leveled Pokemon is at 44, with several others in their 40s or 30s.

I think so! Every time I've seen a shiny pokemon they've crushed the opposition easily! Although, this may be because they were distracted by the shiny coat.

Then that's usually easy enough to challenge the gyms and win against them~! The first couple of ones are really easy, and, especially when you have pokemon above their level. [ Yeah. She knows so much despite never having one gym battle in her life. ]

They are! I haven't seen them until recently, and I've been in Johto for about a year!

If you want a challenge, yeah! If you just want to see their shock at being defeated easily, then just go with your strong ones~! There are much more challenging people to battle, anyways.

It's not as satisfying to see someone defeated easily if they're not very strong in the first place. Besides, I really have more Pokemon than I know what to do with at the moment.

That's a really smart idea! Usually I keep my pokemon all around the same level and switch them out when needed. Besides, aren't your reserves usually weaker? [ Because that's what she learned. They're usually slightly weaker and meant to support alongside the main fighters for sheer overwhelming numbers and competency. ]

Yes, that's generally the mindset behind reserves. Though, keeping things around the same level... that's a surprisingly logical idea, coming from you. Of course, I'm not going to waste any time on things that don't appear to be working out.

Well, I have to say I do have my moments! [ She's actually smarter than she looks! She's just labeled under "surprisingly competent" most of the time. ] But that's what I did when I got a pokemon that was severely under-leveled compared to the rest of my team!

I do have some Pokemon like that, so it's worth looking into. The routes leading towards Azalea seem to have less powerful Pokemon than the ones leading toward Goldenrod, so I'll keep that in mind while I'm traveling.

You should bring your underleveled ones and raise them along the way! When you go to Azalea, make sure you defeat all the trainers in the gym before going to the gym leader! It's good training and it gives you a feel of the environment.

Hah, as if I wasn't going to do that anyway. Even if the trainers aren't particularly difficult, I've noticed that my Pokemon seem to learn more quickly if they're fighting trained Pokemon than they do if they're fighting wild Pokemon.

That's right! Trained pokemon accumulate stronger statistics based on the enemies they fight~! That's why they're stronger than normal pokemon! [ ...Oops. Did she really just went all 'what she really knows' on Kanyeth. ]

Yeah! I've noticed, sometimes, when I end up destroying a lot of Oddish out in the woods near by, that my pokemon's special attack increases are a lot larger than what you'd get otherwise! I think it's because of these bonuses you get by fighting pokemon that the pokemon you train are much much stronger!

Really? That's very interesting. Of course, it's completely logical that fighting different opponents would give different skills, so I'm surprised it didn't occur to me sooner.

I've been here since March thirtieth of last year~! So, I've been here for awhile to know how Johto works and everything~! Or, at least, I can tell about the usual Johto patterns.

I personally lean towards lazy-ass genius since she uses her intelligence to avoid work, but, at the same time, she's just super whimsical so maybe it's occasional flashes of genius or some weird fake dumbness but true laziness thing. ]
